Problem:
Car service dispatch solution was web-based and when high speed internet circuit failed, no cars were able to be dispatched to clients via Nextel system. The entire operation relied on this connection.
Solution:
Transbeam installed a T-1 circuit with auto fail-over SDSL circuit. The two circuits were each different technologies and assured maximum uptime. This solution was set up by setting up static routes and in the event of a primary circuit failure, the secondary circuit would automatically fail-over without needing to manually change IP addresses.
Benefits:
Downtime was eliminated thus eliminating business interruption. Inbound and outbound traffic was unaffected in the event of a primary circuit outage. Completely automatic solution required no one to be around to manually cut over in the event of outage.
