The following instructions will walk you through changing your account settings for Netscape 6 to work with Transbeams servers.
1) Open Netscape.
2) From the Tasks menu, choose Mail & Newsgroups.
3) From the Edit menu, choose Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.
4) Click the New Account button.
5) Select ISP or email provider.
6) Click the Next button.
7) In the Your Name field, type your name.
8) In the Email Address field, type your entire email address.
9) Click the Next button.
10) In the Server Name field, type mail.yourdomain.com Example: if you email address is joe@transbeam.com you would enter mail.transbeam.com for this field.
11) Click the Next button.
12) In the User Name field, type your full email address.
13) Click the Next button.
14) Click the Next button.
15) Click the Finish button.
16) Choose Outgoing Server (SMTP) on the left.
17) In the Server Name field, type smtp.yourdomain.com Example: if you email address is joe@transbeam.com you would enter smtp.transbeam.com for this field.
18) Check the box next to Use name and password.
19) In the User Name field, type your full email address.
20) Click the OK button.
21) On the left, click on the Inbox for the old account.
22) Click on any message in the old inbox on the right.
23) From the Edit menu, choose Select All.
24) From the Message menu, click Move Message, click the name of the new email address that you just configured, and choose Inbox.
Note: Repeat steps 18 - 21 for any other messages you want to move from your old email configuration.
25) From the Edit menu, choose Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.
26) Click on the old email account configuration.
27) Click the Remove Account button.
28) Click the OK button.
Congratulations! Your settings are now configure to use the new Transbeam mail servers.
