Cosmoweb Netscape Setup

The following instructions will walk you through the setup process for Netscape 7.x. Mail.

1) Begin by opening Netscape Mail and clicking on the Edit menu. Then select Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings.

2) A new window will appear. Select Add Account which is located on the lower left hand side.

3) The "Account Wizard" will open. From the options, select Email Account followed by the Next button.

4) Enter your name as you would like it to appear on your emails in the Your Name: box followed by the email that Transbeam created for you in the Email Address: box. Continue by selecting Next.

5) In the "Server Information" window you need to make sure you have POP3 selected as the type of incoming server. For the Server Name: field in the "Incoming Server" section you need to enter mail.cosmoweb.net. In the "Outgoing Server (SMTP) section, the Server Name: field should contain smtp.cosmoweb.net (Similar to the image below). Once all info has been entered click the Next button.

6) In the User Name: field enter the login id for your email account. Then click the Next button.

Note: Your account name will generally be the same as your email address without the domain name (example: if your email address is bobsmith@cosmoweb.net, your account name would be bobsmith).

7) In the "Account name" field enter the name that you would like to refer to for this account.

8) Click Finish. You will now be able to check your email.
