Problem:
The NHL had a need to connect 40+ locations across the United States, including team offices and team arenas to a single network to share information, scores and highlights during game time in real time. Their Existing network included a frame relay network from AT&T. The frame relay was slow, had numerous outages, was expensive and was unable to scale to the NHL's needs.

Solution:
Transbeam created a Private Network connecting all locations via ATM allowing high quality of service through various last mile transport methods. Furthermore, Transbeam provided an 9.0Mb bonded connection at the NHL's main location which served as the central connection for the Private Network.

Benefits:
Transbeam provided a solution that was superior in performance than clients old frame relay network at a saving of approximately 70%-80% per month. Furthermore, by creating this Private Network, Transbeam essentially created for the NHL its own secure private "cloud" with the ability to manipulate different destinations according to their needs. This allows for the highest possible level of security.
